Wednesday - Project Life!

Bible Trivia Question for the day:

Ok I know that was random but humor me...

Don't forget that this Wednesday we will not be having our normal meeting because of the Project Life Spaghetti Dinner beginning at 5:30 in MSY. The Dinner is all you can eat spaghetti, salad, and bread with an amazing array of desserts! The dinner is held every year to support the Bone Marrow Registry Drive that will be held the whole day on Thursday in front of Springs. Please come out and support this effort to get people on the national bone marrow registry which will be checked when someone needs a bone marrow transplant. So basically it's a way to possibly save a life. That's a very quick summary but come to the dinner and everything will be explained!

The tickets for the dinner will be sold tomorrow in Springs and GDH from 11-1. You can also buy them at the door.
The tickets are $5 for the dinner, $8 for an awesome t-shirt, or $10 for both!

If you are interested in helping with the dinner, we could use people from 3-5 in MSY tomorrow to set-up or afterwards to help clean-up.

Free Pancakes!!!!

Happy Friday my favorite PSA Folks!

Just a reminder that next week on Wednesday we will be supporting the Project Life Spaghetti Dinner instead of going to First Pres MEANING, this Sunday we will be gathering for fellowship time by having an amazing Pancake Dinner at 8 pm in the Senior High Apartments Lobby. I've heard rumors of pancakes with everything from chocolate chips to pecans! It'll be a blast! Don't forget to come!!!! Any questions? Email Sarah (sdbellaci).

Also, we still need folks to help with Senior High Sunday School on Sunday, November 15 and 22. This will be a great opportunity to interact with more of the First Pres community. If you're interested please email Myra (meshanks) ASAP!

Halloween Carnival!

Hey Gang,

Today is the annual Thornwell Halloween Carnival in front of Springs. The carnival starts at 4 and runs till 6. PSA will have their own booth, and we will be playing Doughnuts on a String! Get excited. We'd love for everyone to come and help out and just have fun. Stay as long or as little as you'd like. Plus there is free candy, and who doesn't love free candy!

Affiliate Membership

If you would like like join FPC as an affiliate member and you did NOT fill out a purple form at the lunch last week, please shoot me an email! Remember that affiliate membership means that you KEEP your membership at your home church, but you declare FPC as your official home-away-from-home church. This Sunday is a new member Sunday, so anyone who wants to join should plan on coming to the church at 10:30am to meet the Session! Send me an email so I will know who to expect, and let me know if you have any questions!

Montreat College Conference!

One Last Thing! Lucy from the Office of Religious Life has asked us to send out an email about College Conference.

January 2nd - 5th, 2010

PC is taking a group up to Montreat for the College Conference this year. We have a house and we will be cooking our meals together. There are a limited number of spots available so it will be first come first serve. The cost for this conference is $120 per person. It includes conference fee, lodging, and meals. I know this is a little steep. The $120 covers the conference fee and lodging, PC will pick up the cost of the meals. Payment is due by Thanksgiving, but if you are interested in going let me (Lucy Strong - lc_strong@presby.edu) know as soon as possible. Also if you want to hear more, just shoot me an email.
